Against the backdrop of global energy transition and growing environmental demands, Datong Longyuan actively engages in environmental upgrades in the power sector. Leveraging outstanding technical capabilities and an innovative spirit, we provide efficient solutions for power plants worldwide. Among them, the Punagaya Power Plant project in Indonesia stands out as a model of our business expansion and technical application.
Technology Upgrade, Comprehensive ESP System Overhaul
The retrofit at Punagaya Power Plant focused on upgrading the transformer, controller, rapping system, and heating system of the ESP (Electrostatic Precipitator). We also overhauled the communication system, enabling remote control and monitoring from the central control room. These measures significantly improved dust removal efficiency and optimized plant operations, ensuring stable and efficient performance. Notably, key circuit boards and components used in the project were independently designed and locally manufactured by our company, showcasing our strong capabilities in R&D and production while enabling faster and higher-quality service delivery.
Market Recognition and Global Expansion
The successful execution of this project marks strong market validation for our efficient ESP retrofit solutions. It affirms our earlier work and technological expertise while injecting momentum into our business growth. Covering Indonesia—a key industrial hub—the project significantly expands our service coverage and influence, laying a solid foundation for our deeper expansion in the global energy market.
Project Background: Supporting Local Economy and Environmental Protection
Located in Punagaya Village, Jeneponto County, South Sulawesi Province, Punagaya Power Plant is a critical coal-fired facility operated by PT PLN Persero, Indonesia’s national utility. With an investment of approximately USD 290 million, the 83-hectare plant has an installed capacity of 2×100 MW. Since the first unit’s commercial operation in 2017, the plant has created around 1,000 jobs, significantly boosting the local economy. Committed to environmental responsibility, it has adopted corn cobs and other agricultural waste as blended fuel to reduce carbon emissions. Our participation in this project reflects not only a commercial partnership but also a shared commitment to Indonesia’s energy development and environmental protection.
Moving forward, Datong Longyuan will uphold our commitment to innovation, continuously enhancing our technical strength. With high-quality products and services, we aim to provide efficient and eco-friendly solutions for more power plants worldwide, contributing to the sustainable development of the global energy industry.
